Countdown Element

The Countdown Element is the perfect element to actively show your visitors a countdown to a special event, sale, anniversary, exposition, etc. This element allows you to enter a date and it automatically calculates the time it will take to countdown to the specific date. It comes with several customization options to control all colors, backgrounds, borders, text and more.

Customization Settings

The countdown element allows you to control all text colors, background colors, insert background images, control border radius, display weeks, specify timezones, controlling the countdown numbers and box colors behind them and more.

Time Control

Each Countdown Element allows you to control various aspects of time, from specifying the exact date to countdown to, controlling the timezone to be set to the site or users timezone, to show or hiding weeks.

Countdown Timer End

This option allows you to set the exact date the Countdown Element will count down to.

This option allows you to specify which timezone is used, the sites or the viewers timezone.

This option allows you to show or hide the amount of weeks used in the Countdown Element.

Complete Set of Options

Every option and description included with the Countdown Element is listed below.

  • countdown_end – Accepts a SQL time format (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS) value that sets the end date and time for the countdown. For example, 2016-05-10 12:30:00.
  • timezone – Can be one of these values: default, site_time, or user_time. Choose which timezone to use for the countdown calculation. Select default for Theme Option selection.
  • show_weeks – Can be one of these values: default, yes, or no. This will show or hide weeks. Select default for Theme Option selection.
  • background_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the background color of the countdown wrapping box. Leave blank for Theme Option selection.
  • background_image – The URL path of the background image you’d like to display, starting with http:// and usually ending on .jpg, .png or .gif.
  • background_repeat – Can be one of these values: default, no-repeat, repeat, repeat-y, or repeat-x. Sets how the background image repeats.
  • background_position – Can be one of these values: left top, left center, left bottom, right top, right center, right bottom, center top, center center, or center bottom. Sets the background image’s position.
  • border_radius – Accepts a pixel value that sets the border’s radius. For example, 1px.
  • counter_box_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the counter boxes color. Leave blank for Theme Option selection.
  • counter_text_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the counter boxes text color. Leave blank for Theme Option selection..
  • heading_text – The countdown heading text you’d like to display.
  • heading_text_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the countdown heading text color. Leave blank for Theme Option selection.
  • subheading_text – The countdown subheading text you’d like to display.
  • subheading_text_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the countdown subheading text color. Leave blank for Theme Option selection.
  • link_text – The link text you’d like to display for the countdown.
  • link_text_color – Accepts a hexcode ( #000000 ). Sets the link text color. Leave blank for Theme Option selection.
  • link_url – The URL path that the link text links to.
  • link_target – Can be one of these values: _blank for new window, or _self for same window.
  • element visibility – Choose to show or hide the element on small, medium or large screens. Show them on all, or just some, givine you full control over all screen sizes. Each screen size also has a custom width setting in Fusion Theme Options.

  • class – Add a custom class to the wrapping HTML element for further css customization. Please refer to this documentation section.
